Written in the ancient Tibeto-Mongolian pakpa (འཕགས་པ་) script, this sterling silver pendant features the word Sorig (གསོ་རིག་), the "Science of Healing" (also known as Sowa Rigpa), one of the five major sciences of the Indian and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. It is ornamented with a beautiful Aquamarine, a renowned blue variety of beryl, set in 9ct gold. This mineral is the namesake for the most famous commentary on Tibetan Medicine, Desi Sangye Gyatso's Baidurya Ngönpo ( བཻ་ཌཱུརྱ་སྣྔྔོན་པོ་), "The Blue Beryl."

This is a perfect piece of handmade jewellery for medicine practitioners, especially practitioners of Tibetan Medicine.
